Hoe Kee Chicken Ball Rice in Melaka or Malacca,established in 1962, is the restaurant selling the famous chicken ball rice of Melaka that everyone talks about.Hoe Kee Chicken Rice restaurant was featured "Best Chicken Rice in Malaysia” so it might look familiar to some. It is housed in an old house in Jalan Hang Jebat and it can be hard to get to if you aren’t familiar with the area.The restaurant is rather quaint due to its location. It is a typical olden days Chinese house with an open air.

• It is basically just chicken rice cooked slightly longer and then molded into a ping pong ball size. It has the same taste just like the normal chicken rice except its’ texture is more slimy.
• There are other side dishes like cabbage, asam pedas fish, lotus root soup and black bean soup to go along with your chicken rice, making it a rather complete wholesome meal.
